The design of the oven is such that the waste
products of
combustion from the primary
or burnoff chamber,
all pass through a secondary or
incineration chamber
held at between 900ºC
and 1000ºC with a minimum
residence time in the cineration
chamber of not less than 5seconds,
to ensure that
fumes and particles are completely burnt before
being mixed with cooling air and discharged to the atmosphere.
The maximum air discharge proposed at full operating capacity
is approximately 36m³ per minute at a temperature of 500ºC
